Horticulture Training Package (RUH98) and Conservation and Land Management Training Package (RTD02) qualifications

The Horticulture Training Package includes the qualification RUH20198 Certificate II in Horticulture. Delivery of the qualification is supported by a Toolbox targeting Indigenous learners.

In Victoria, the Primary Industries Curriculum Maintenance Manager (CMM) provides resources to support the implementation of the Horticulture Training Package and Conservation and Land Management Training Package. Resources include a Purchasing Guide, a Facilitators Guide and may include a Learning Program for some qualifications. CMM details and resources are available at the Training Support Network website OTTE. To find the information follow the CMM Contacts link.

The NTIS website at NTIS provides information about the qualifications, competency units, RTOs registered to deliver the courses and national resources supporting learning and assessment.

The Horticulture for Koori Learners Equity Toolbox provides workplace scenarios and problems for Koori students studying selected units of competency at AQF levels 1 and 2. The Toolbox has been customised to cater to the needs of Koori students in Horticulture. The Toolbox is available from Australian Training Products at ATPL.

Another Toolbox, Welcome to the Horticulture Toolshed, supports competency units from the Certificate II in Horticulture, however it does not specifically target Koori learners. Information, order forms and some previews are available at the Australian Flexible Learning Framework website AFLF.
