Automotive

There are currently no units that are specifically tailored to the learning or cultural needs of Indigenous Australians in the Automotive Industry. In addition the VAEAI 2007 Koori State Training Plan does not identify Automotive as a high priority training area. However the industry is an incredibly versatile & popular trade within excess of 140 certified qualifications. In order to demonstrate the range of qualifications from Cert I through to Diploma the following are examples of Training Packages from the Automotive Industry:

  • AUR21099 - Cert II in Automotive (Mechanical – Exhaust Fitting & Repair)
  • AUR21399 - Cert II in Automotive (Mechanical – Steering & Suspension)

  • AUM20100 - Cert II in Automotive Manufacturing
  • AUR10105 - Cert II in Automotive Administration
  • AUM25101 - Cert III in Automotive Manufacturing (Bus, Truck & Trailor)
  • AUM30100 - Cert III in Automotive Manufacturing (Frontline Management)
  • AUR30505 - Certificate III in Marine
  • AUR31299 - Cert III in Automotive (Mechanical – Natural Gas Vehicle [NGV]
  • AUR32099 - Cert III in Bicycle (Sales)
  • AUR32499 - Cert III in Outdoor Power Equipment (Mechanics)
  • AUR40202 - Cert IV in Automotive (Motorsport)
  • AUR50205 - Diploma of Automotive Technology

In Victoria, the Human Services Curriculum Maintenance Manager (CMM) provides resources to support the implementation of the Visual Arts, Craft and Design Training Package. Resources include a Purchasing Guide, a Facilitators Guide and may include a Learning Program for some qualifications.
