Victorian Aboriginal Education Association (VAEAI) is a community based and controlled organisation. The major aim of the VAEAI is to develop processes for the involvement of Victorian koori community members in decision making regarding education and training provision for koori students. Information is available at VAEAI.

Yalca Policy provides a long term policy framework for all sectors of education and training in Victoria. All education strategies and programs which are developed for and by koori people must support and be respondent to this document - VAEAI.

The Wurreker Strategy documents the collaborative and equal partnership between VAEAI and the Victorian State Government. Wurreker is the central strategy for Indigenous VET policy development and service delivery in Victoria Wurreker Strategy .

National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education website (NATSIEW) is an educational portal/gateway site. Suitable resources are harvested, catalogued and indexed to a set of keywords. The site has a school focus, however a lot of material may be useful in the VET ACFE sector. The site is NATSIEW.

The Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS) website provides assess to their library catalogue with information about the cultures and lifestyles of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples - AIATSIS

Office of Tertiary Training and Education (OTTE)

OTTE

The government organisations (OTTE) sits within the Deapartment of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development (DIIRD). The office has responsibility for the higher education and vocational training throughout Victoria. Within the office sits the Learner Access Branch (LAB) which forms part of the Training Operations Division. LAB manages programs and initiatives aimed at improving participation and outcomes for the disadvantaged learners groups. A key focus is on supporting Koori programs and iniatives.

The Department of Families Community Services and Indigenous Affairs

The Department takes leadership in addressing issues involving the living standards and experiences of families Australia wide. There is detailed information on how the service deals with a large variety of Koori specific programs including childcare, family violence, womens business and many more. The organisations handles large amounts of Government funding to be dispersed into areas of need within the koori community.
