Criteria for inclusion

The application of the criteria below will be monitored by a working group, with representation from the Victorian Aboriginal Education Association Incorporated (VAEAI) and the site maintenance manager.

  1. Items to be included in this site must be in accordance with the key aims of the Wurreker Strategy. All items should encourage and support one or all of the following:
    • individual learner development (including improved literacy and numeracy)
    • pathways onto employment and / or further education & training
    • Koori community development
    • self determination for Koori individuals and communities
    • an enhanced appreciation of the cultural, social and political history of Koori people.
  2. This site may include or refer to:
    • Victorian crown copyright qualifications, courses, units and/or modules with content developed specifically for Koori participants, and national units of competence referred to by those courses
    • Victorian crown copyright qualifications, courses, units and/or modules with content relating to the cultural, social and political history of Koori people, intended for delivery to either Koori or non-Indigenous students
    • other qualifications, units of competence and/or modules with content developed specifically for Koori participants and designed to contribute to the key outcomes listed in 1 above
    • other qualifications, units of competence and/or modules with content relating to the cultural, social and political history of Indigenous people, intended for delivery to either Koori or non-Indigenous students
    • training and assessment resources, including learning support materials and delivery advice, relating specifically to the qualifications, units, courses and modules as described in (a) to (d) above
    • generic training and assessment resources relating to the planning and delivery of training programs for Koori participants
    • organisations and individuals willing and able to provide advice on the planning and delivery of training for Koori participants.
  3. This site should indicate to users where a resource has been developed for a specific community or for specific country, and whether customization may be necessary if used with another community.
  4. Contact details for individuals may only be listed in the Koori Education and Training Resource Online with the permission of those individuals.
  5. Items will only be made directly accessible through the Koori Education and Training Resource Online with the permission of the owner of the copyright.
